ADMISSION NOTICE FOR TWO YEARS B.P.ED COURSE: 2025-2027

ADMISSION NOTICE

Online application are invited from the eligible female candidates for admission in B.P.Ed programme for the session 2025-27 (Two years course) at State Institute of Physical Education for Women, Hastings House, Alipore,  Kolkata – 27 affiliated by Calcutta University and recognized by NCTE as per the Govt. guideline stipulated in the G.O. 556-Edn (CS)/10M-20/2015; Dated: 29th July, 2025.

Intake capacity – 30 [Subject to qualify the entrance test].

Eligibility Criteria – As per NCTE norms:

    • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50% marks and having at least participation in the Inter-College/Inter-Zonal/District/School Competition in sports and games as recognized by the AIU/IOA/SGFI/Govt. of India.

                                                                  Or

    •  Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with 45% marks.

                                                                 Or

    • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 45% marks and studied physical education as compulsory/elective subject.

                                                                 Or

    • Bachelor’s degree with 45% marks and having participated in National/Inter University/State competitions or secured 1st , 2nd or 3rd position in Inter College/Inter-Zonal/District/School competition in sports and games as recognized by the AIU/IOA/SGFI/Govt. of India.

                                                                 Or

    • Bachelor’s degree with participation in International competitions or secured 1st , 2nd or 3rd position in National/Inter-University competition in sports and games as recognized by respective federations/AIU/IOA/SGFI/Govt. of India.

                                                                 Or

    • Graduation with 45% marks and at least three years of teaching experience (for deputed in-service candidates i.e. trained physical education teachers/coaches).

     

    • The relaxation in the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination and in the reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC/EWS shall be as per the rules of the State Government.
    • The age of the candidate should be not more than 30 years as on 01-07-2025 (must born on or after 01.07.1995).
    • Reservation of seats: As per rules of Govt. of West Bengal.
    • Starting date of Online Form fill up: 02.09.2025.
    • Closing date of Online Form fill up: 10.09.2025.
    • Publication of the list of eligible candidates for Entrance Test: 11.09.2025.
    • Date of Entrance Test (Physical Fitness Test) for B.P.Ed: 13.09.2025 (8 AM onwards).
    • Date of publication of list of provisionally selected candidates for Admission: 16.09.2025.
    • Date of Admission in B.P.Ed course:  16.09.2025 to 18.09.2025.
    • Candidate who has passed the 5th semester and appeared in the final semester exam of the graduation course (B.A./B.Sc./B.Com)-2025 under any University but not yet received the results or final pass mark sheet also can apply for the B.P.Ed programme at this college.
    • In such case, if she provisionally selected then she must submit her final pass mark sheet at the time of final physical verification of all documents after provisional admission. If any candidate will fail to submit the pass mark sheet during that time her candidature will automatically terminated.

Eligible candidate must upload the soft copy of the following testimonials/documents during the online form fill-up:

  • Madhyamik Admit Card/Certificate for age proof (Soft copy 50-150 KB)
  • Madhyamik Mark Sheet (Soft copy 50-150 KB) 
  • HS Mark sheet (Soft copy 50-150 KB)
  • Graduation Pass Mark sheet, (Soft copy 50-150 KB)
  • 5th Semester pass marksheet (if final 6th semester results not yet published).
  • Highest Sports Participation Certificate,  (Soft copy 50-150 KB)
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable) (Soft copy 50-150 KB)
  • Color Photograph (soft copy 20-50 KB)
  • Signature of the candidate (soft copy 20-50 KB)

For Admission in BPEd programme, candidate must appear in the Entrance Test which will be held on 13.09.25 at 8.00 am onwards at SIPEW, Hastings House College Play Ground.

All correspondence regarding Admission Procedure in B.P.Ed session 2025-27 will be made through the candidate’s registered Gmail & Official WhatsApp Group of the college.  No correspondence will be made by any other means.

N.B. All applicants are informed to come to the college to attend the BPEd Entrance Test on 13.09.25. If any applicant’s name is not included in the eligibility list, she is also advised to come to the college on 13.09.25 and in such case their eligibility will be checked again on the spot and if her eligibility is found correct, she will be allowed to attend the Entrance Test.
